The House on the Rock · · PAGE 14.
July 23, 2019: Here is the entrance to
House on the Rocks from Wisconsin route 23.
This aerial view from Google Earth shows the entire grounds for the House
on the Rock facilities.
This closer aerial image shows the MAZE of buildings that comprise The
House on the Rock tour. That long white building is called the Infinity
Room, an optical illusion as seen from the entrance at the south end of the
room. The large number of trees on the property help to camouflage a number of
the buildings that are connected together in the MAZE. There is only one
location where you can access the outside for a view from the highest point on
the tour.
This Google Earth view shows the natural contour of the land upon which
all these buildings stand. The imagery as seen from this angle does not
display in 3D as the images follow the contour of the land.
There is a large planter out in front of the main entrance to The
House On The Rock.
Linda captured this photo of two UNICORNS pulling a two-wheeled cart on
the giant carousel. This is not a ride you can get ON or OFF as in a
carnival. It is a fantasy that is motorized and covered in lights along with
the unusual characters not common to ordinary carousels. The UNICORNS are
not normal horses. One of the videos linked from below has an employee
describing this carousel including the number of animals on it and "not one
of them is a horse" was part of her conversation during the interview.
Twin bare-chested MERMAIDS are in the procession of the big carousel.
A second photo of the unicorns pulling the cart shows more details with
a frog riding a bull dog leading the way on this part of the large carousel.
That is my left arm and white shirt sleeve seen at the right side of this image
taken by Linda.
At the end of the three tours, the exit back to the parking lot is
through the gift shop. We bought a souvenir book which I am reading as I
create this web page.
There is so much to say about this place, it would be best if you read all about it via Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_on_the_Rock This is a long read with many details about this tourist attraction.

And like anything on You Tube, there is always more stuff to see. We arrived here at 11:00 AM Eastern Time and departed at 3:52 PM. We did have lunch while we were in between the second and third parts of the tour.
