September 9-10, 2005 · · DHS Homecoming Weekend
Saturday, September 10, 2005 - Page 15 - Banquet
at the Dalton Country Club: As Ronnie began working his way around the dining room,
he reminded each "victim" of a humorous event from the past. Julie Sievert
gets the dubious honor of being first as Beverly Hackney looks on.
Susan Bailey gets her turn at Ronnie's "in-your-face" style of
interview as he shares a few "pearls of wisdom" with all of us about Susan.
By the way Gerald Thompson is holding back his tears of joy, and the reaction
of his wife Lane Graves, it should be obvious that Ronnie's one-on-one personal banter is
getting everyone in a good mood for the remainder of the evening.
Elsewhere around the room, Hilliard Jolly and Laura Gold share some ideas,
while in the background Jeanne Taliaferro Cole makes her point to Becky Thomas Jolly with
Jimmy Cole looking on.
After that surprise photo above, everyone wanted to "pose" for
another shot. I preferred their previous facial interactions, like the one Laura
Gold has in this photo thinking that she is out of camera range! Laura still has her
classic profile we remember from our senior year at Dalton High School. Come to
think about it, that is her famous hair style as well!
Mike West is enjoying the scene behind me where Ronnie is continuing to
"interview" alumni. Carolyn Bennett Jordan and Jane Maples have a
conversation going as Barbara Rappold and her husband Richard observe everything. Ed
Perry, Amy Cruse, and Dale Cruse refresh their wine glasses at the bar in the background.
Carl makes his point with Warren Acree, while Ronnie bends over to talk with
another "victim" in the background.
Vivian Deems was taking photos with her camera. Betty was sharing photos
of her grandchildren with Sandra.
