September 9-10, 2005 · · DHS Homecoming Weekend

Friday - September 9 - Page 5 - At Carl Smith's party that Friday night, one of our members occasionally comes up to me and insists that I be in a photo instead of me being behind the camera all the time.  My name tag shows that beautiful head of hair I had in my senior year at DHS.  Andrea was telling us about the winery that she and her husband are opening in the Nashville/Adel, Georgia area near Interstate Highway 75.

I think that Barbara was overwhelmed by the attention she received from Ronnie.   Since this was her first reunion in 40 years, I don't think she knew what to expect!

Sheila Rich and Clydene Brock graduated from Murray County and are married to Jimmy Rich and Gary Brock.  Both couples arrive together at all our events and have a good friendship that has lasted many years.  They enjoy this uncrowded corner of the pool deck near the music and away from the snack tables.

Carolyn Bennett Jordan and Suzanne Stacy Hill catch up on "what's new" since our last gathering five years ago.

They complained that I caught them by surprise, so I gave them another chance to "smile for the camera" and these DHS 1965 alumni web pages.  You can see Suzanne is ready to talk about her grandchildren.

When Ronnie and Carl saw Sheila and Clydene off by themselves, they had to do something about it.  Carl posed the welcome sign before he would let me take this shot.  My Miranda Sensorex II 35mm camera and flash are on the table.  I used it and my digital camera for tonight's party.

Dianne Morgan Hardie came home to visit relatives in Dalton again for this year's reunion gathering of our classmates.  She lives and works in the historic Williamsburg, Virginia area.

It did not take long for Dianne to find a good seat and some conversation with Jane Maples.
