Wendell Folks RV-8 Project - Page 73.

December 6, 2007:  The remote magnetic sensor for the Dynon D-10A was mounted on the left wing outer rib.  Wendell bought a precision digital protractor and level to confirm the correct mounting of this device.   It has to be tilted forward the same 8-degrees as the instrument panel to match the mounting of the D-10A.  It also has to be level laterally with the instrument panel and the fuselage longerons.  The wing dihedral makes it appear the sensor is tilted down on the outboard end.  All the hardware is stainless steel to avoid magnetic errors.  A grounding screw was mounted near the lighting that is installed in the wing tip.  The ground wires from the landing light, taxi light, and the left wing tip marker light will attach there.
