David Edgemon - Finishing Kit
February 21, 2004: Saturday began a trip west on
business and a quick stop by to see the finishing kit parts at David Edgemon's shop in the
Huntsville, Alabama area. You can see the baffle kit for cooling is going into
position around his engine.
The plumbing in the engine compartment has changed a bit since last month.
There is a new solenoid fuel valve to support the engine primer system. You
can also see all the hinges have been installed on the firewall to mount the fiberglass
cowling.
This is the bottom half of the cowling showing the cutout area near the
filtered air box.
And of course, here is the top half of the cowling and the oil cooler on the
table next to the assembly manual. There are additional parts of the air baffles on
the table along with the black flexible material that seals the baffles against the
cowling.
