Friday, October 15:  Vivian is standing behind the crowd to show how we have turned our attention to the parade.

Not all the snacks were tossed as you can see this young man walks the route with his candy basket, giving Ronnie his choices.  I am in the background removing the wrapper from a Tootsie Roll.  Ah, the joys of youth and coming home again.

Bobby Anderson can still sit down easily.  For me, that posture would be a problem.  We are all in our 60's.

There is plenty to see as the parade passes by.

The Dalton High School Band always joins the parade at the First Baptist Church, just over the hill from our location for the parade down Hamilton Street, the main drag where the town was focused in the days before shopping centers and fast food franchises.  Only those participants who began the parade at the new DHS campus are coming back up Waugh Street to the high school parking lot.

Here is my picture of Hildegard and Vivian as we all wait for the parade to get past our location.  Shooting into the sun requires forced flash to fill in the shadows.  Notice how the necklace and ear ring reflect the flash from my camera.

The next pages will be from the Saturday barbecue dinner at the barn.
