DHS Homecoming Weekend - Page 1.
Friday, October 15: The first gathering of the faithful was at Ronnie's place on Waugh Street to meet and greet before the homecoming parade started down the hill toward downtown Dalton. I have photos from Vivian Deems and Hilliard Jolly that will be presented in this year's web pages. The early posting of those photos are smaller and will soon be replaced with larger images with more resolution.
I like to bring back the music from our youth as part of these reunions.
This year was no exception, but for one thing. My audio amplifier blew up after
about 15 minutes on the job. Vivian had a suitable replacement amplifier to save the
day today and for use at the barbecue dinner tomorrow. The ultimate diagnosis of my
amplifier was a shorted input winding to the power supply transformer.
Vivian Deems Ellis and Becky Thomas Jolly are the first to pose for my camera.
Vivian snapped this photo of Ronnie headed for the mail box with this sign. His stapler was found to be empty and I returned later to secure the sign to the mail box wooden brace below the box.
Doug Cochran and his wife Hildegard look at Ronnie's DHS 1965 Annual. Tim
Smith and Bobby Anderson are also early to arrive.
Vivian took this photo just after my picture above. Max, Ronnie, and I
have joined the group photo on the left with Hildegard in the middle holding the Dalton
High School 1965 year book. She also captured this shot of Becky Thomas and Doug
talking with Beth Langley.
The ladies are gathering as seen here: Beth Langley, Anne Morris, Vivian
Deems, Becky Thomas, Susan Bailey, and Susie Hudson.
Max Caylor greets Brenda Hullender.
Frank Patterson makes his timely appearance in shades.
Brenda begins a review the 1965 yearbook to be sure she knows who the players
are during this weekend.
Andrea Higgins Perry, Ellen Keith, Chris Johnston, and Susan Bailey pose under
the tent and out of the warm sunshine.
