"Lazy B" Ranch Airport · · PAGE 5.

April 5, 2009: We now get to the RANCH portion of the airport property.  Irv drove us down the little access road along the south side of the runway and out on to the public road at the end of the runway.  The north side of the runway had a similar one-lane access road and some fenced pasture land adjacent on the northeast side of the runway.

There are also sheep in the pasture.

When Irv called to them, the first responder was his burro named "B. J."   The sheep followed B.J. to the building where they get fed every day.

B. J. is friendly as you can see.  He next came over to me and I stroked the side of his jaw and under his neck.  He was very content with some personal contact with us.  By the way, Irv gave him the initials B. J. because of the common names for this type of animal:  burro & jackass.

The sheep are a bit more skiddish about us being there.  They are only comfortable with Irv since he feeds them every day.

That brings us to the end of my visit to the "Lazy B" Airport and RANCH.  I hope to have a visit here with the "Enterprise" next time.
